It is the pastor's policy that before he solemnizes a marriage couple to be wed they must complete a minimum of three counseling sessions with him. These sessions must be completed at least three weeks before the scheduled wedding to allow for possible adjustments. The sessions are held for three reasons. To assure that the couple understands the sanctity of marriage from GOD's perspective, to assure the couple understands and addresses most of the basic problems faced by newlyweds early in marriage, and finally to assure that the proposed wedding ceremony is discussed from the viewpoint of its appropriateness in the sanctuary of GOD.
